Festival Digital Campaign Manager – Pedestrian Jobs

Secret Sounds are one of Australia’s largest and fastest growing music groups, spanning many segments of the music industry. With a full-time staff of over 75 people, we produce the country’s biggest music and arts festivals, manage our own venues and represent the interests of over 250 top national and international artists at labels, publishing, touring, public relations and commercial rights. /sponsoring, artist management and booking agencies.

Primary objective:

Our marketing team is currently looking for an entertainment enthusiast to join our marketing team in a digital marketing role. The primary function of the role is the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns across our core communications channels, with particular focus and responsibility for self-service social and digital channels at Secret Sounds music festivals. The role may be based in Sydney or Byron Bay.

As the festival’s digital campaign manager, your main responsibilities would include the following:

  • Manage organic and paid social media across Secret Sounds festival brands (Splendor in the Grass, Falls Festiva, Grow Your Own, Harvest Rock)
  • Coordinate and implement multi-channel marketing strategy to increase reach, page engagement and ticket sales – Meta, Google, TikTok, SnapChat, YouTube, Twitter, DV360
  • Work with and alongside our external digital media agency to develop campaign strategy, execute and implement planned paid campaign
  • Coordinate digital content strategy, liaise with internal and external design teams
  • Coordinate the curation and distribution of digital marketing materials
  • Social and digital analytics and reporting
  • Copywriting – social media, GED, website
  • Assist in outward-looking community engagement
  • Manage email marketing strategy including content creation, list management, user acquisition and analytics
  • Backend website support including content upload and Google Analytics
  • Ensure that Google Analytics / Tag Manager, Facebook Pixels, email subscriptions are working properly at all times by liaising with necessary technical partners
  • Assist with audience data management and campaigns through our Secret Sounds CRM
  • Manage festival content onsite and curate/distribute through major digital channels
  • Manage social media and Village Sounds booking agency website (FB, IG, Twitter)
  • Assist with site tours and marketing as requested

Key Selection Criteria:

  • A passion for music and an understanding of the Australian musical landscape
  • A good understanding of creative multi-channel content and marketing campaigns
  • A flexible attitude towards working hours, especially around event launches and show days
  • Reliable, motivated and energized by a fast-paced work environment
  • Maintain strong attention to detail while working on multiple tasks
  • Must have advanced written and spoken English skills and be able to adapt the writing to the tone of voice of our festivals

Experience requirements:

  • 2.5-4 years of experience working in digital marketing campaigns preferred
  • Knowledge of the technical platform through: Google Marketing Products (DCM / Ad Words / Analytics / DV360) and Meta Business / Ads Manager
  • Bonus: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, Outlook), Adobe Design Suite, WordPress, CRM Management, Spotify Ad Studio, TikTok Ads
