Assistant Professor of Art / Graphic Design at the University of South Carolina at Lancaster

The University of South Carolina Lancaster, a regional campus of the University of South Carolina located approximately thirty-five (35) miles south of Charlotte, North Carolina, is seeking candidates for a faculty position leading to tenure in art / graphic design from August 16, 2022.
The position requires a Masters of Fine Arts, including the necessary credentials for departmental approval to teach introductory arts courses, as well as upper division art courses, as required.
The position will normally require the teaching of twelve credit hours per semester or its equivalent. In addition to teaching fundamental history courses for first year and sophomore students, there are opportunities to teach upper division courses in the online bachelor’s degree programs at the University’s Palmetto College.
Scholarships, counseling and academic / community services are expected. Preference will be given to applicants with teaching experience at the university level. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in community outreach programs.
